I actually had two random thoughts today. I can't remember the last time my brain actually functioned.
In fact, I used to have daily random thoughts which would translate into... "Oh, I'll blog that."
I used to have an active blog. Now, it seems I'm lucky if I remember I have a blog.
But today, TWO thoughts. Woot.
Random thought #1:
I was driving to work this morning and saw a truck with tire manufacturer names on it.
You know, Kauffman, Goodyear, Atlas. But one company name stood out. Kumho.
Kumho.
A company dealing in rubbers (aka tires) named Kumho. WTF were they thinking?
Imagine answering the phone.
"Kumho."
"Hello, Kumho. How can I help you?"
"Welcome to Kumho. Where service is a pleasure."
le sigh. There's just no good spin to put on that name.
Random thought #2.
My boss sent me an e-mail telling me that I am the "gatekeeper" for information regarding an event our company is participating in.
Great. Just great. A gatekeeper.
My first thought was that I'm the gatekeeper in a company of fence jumpers.
I so wanted to reply that thought, but after 7 years of working for him, I'm still not sure if he has a sense of humor.
Just your average single middle aged woman with 3 grown kids, who often stops and takes a look around her life and says "PFFT' because "WTF" was already taken.

A Job With a View
All this week I have been working from the corporate apartment, supervising the removal of the carpet and subsequent installation of hardwood floors.
You can see the downtown Atlanta skyline off in the distance.
21 floors up. I tried not to look down too much. Heights... eek!

All in all though, not a bad way to spend two days work.
Now I see why one of Atlanta's nicknames is "The City of Trees".................

..............and also the City of Pollen.

I've been putting in some long work hours this week.
One night until 10:30pm at job #1; and until 1am at job #2 for a few nights.
It felt sooo good to sleep til 11 am today. Too bad I was supposed to be at work at 8:30am.
No, seriously. I slept through 2 alarm clocks and nobody noticed.
Nobody.
